What you need to know before you go!

1. Protect yourself from the sun.

With the sun shining brightly, it is important to have a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for protection from the harmful sun rays.

2. Always stay hydrated:

Make sure to have a bottle of water with you. Kenya is plastic free, ensure your drinking water is in an eco-friendly water bottle.

3. Charge your gargets:

Special moments you experience on self-drive in the wild are best captured, so make sure your camera are fully charged before your safari begins

4. Carry your medications:

It is important to carry your prescription or any medication that you will need during your trip. Remember to carry bug repellant.

5. Clothing:

During safari, we recommend wearing tan, green or brown (khaki) clothing. Avoid bright or lion colors.

6. Foot wear:

Proper footwear is essential for your road trip safari. A pair of closed shoes is important to protect you from dangerous critters.

7. Layer up:

It is advisable to have a scarf that can be used to layer up when temperatures drop in the evenings to keep insects off.

8. No plastics:

The use of plastics is banned in Kenya. So, make sure to have eco-friendly water bottles or container bags.

9. Fire wood:

Make sure to carry your own firewood as this will not be allowed to fetch inside the National Parks.
